How do I protect my belongings in a storage unit?
When putting your belongings in a self storage unit, make sure to protect them by placing them in strong cardboard boxes, covering them in blankets or towels and packing paper. Cardboard boxes allow you to stack easily and maximise the space where blankets will help protect bigger items and breakable items like mirrors, TV, computers and things too big for boxes.
Is it safe to store furniture in a storage unit?
A self storage unit is a great option for long-term or short-term furniture storage. Self storage units are ventilated and watertight which helps prevent any moisture gathering and destroying your furniture. You can easily choose whichever size works best for the size of furniture you're storing. To protect your furniture we recommend using furniture blankets to add an extra layer of protection against any accidental damage.
Do storage units get damp?
Storage units or rooms will only get damp if you put wet things in it. Condensation will only come from what is put in the storage unit, so if you only put dry things in the container everything will stay dry.
How do you fit everything in a storage unit?
The best way to maximise your space in your storage unit is to utilise vertical space. If you plan on storing large furniture, standing it up vertically can allow you to fit more inside your self storage unit by utilising dead space. Using high-quality boxes to store your item will mean you can easily stack them, again utilising vertical space.

The facility is absolutely immaculate clean, trolleys provided to move your belongings from your car/van to your storage room. Paula who I dealt with was very friendly & helpful. I can’t recommend it enough.

Both me and my mum have rented a container from here and I would definitely recommend them. The staff were very helpful and it was very straightforward to set up. The containers have two padlocks, one is heavy duty and they are behind a gate that you need a code for so everything is very secure.
Used this Container for around a year, customer service is amazing and sort any problems or questions immediately, great access 24/7 and good security. Couldn’t be happier with this place. Would highly recommend, and would use again in the future if needed. 😁

Great priced storage unit. Excellent security. Couldn't believe how much we managed to put in it. Also great that it was 24 hour so we could pop down around our own schedules.Only one downside was it took a while to get the proper lock from them, but was more than happy to put our own locks on and went prepared. Which leads me to another good point.... it was great that we could put 4 locks on the unit for extra security. Plenty of space to turn a car round with a trailer outside the unit too.Big thank you from us.
I chose Container Self Store because it was close to where I was temporarily living and it was the best price. The container was indoors and accessible 24/7 which you don't realise is so important when you're moving house and your belongings are all the place. Everything has come out in the same condition it went in! The staff are all very pleasant and if not on site and needed, available on the end of the phone. Recommended.
